Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 11 March 2026
Arqor is operated by Damon Randall (Sole Trader), trading as Darkstar Design
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out the rules for using the Arqor platform and Arqor SiteRecord application. It applies to all users including account holders and trade users who access the Service via QR code.
2. Permitted use
The Service is intended for legitimate construction industry purposes including documenting construction work through photographs, recording building progress for compliance and client communication, sharing photographic evidence with building inspectors and clients, generating reports for regulatory compliance, and managing construction job records.
3. Prohibited use
You must not use the Service to:
Upload, store, or share any content that is unlawful, defamatory, threatening, harassing, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
Upload content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.
Upload photos of individuals without their knowledge or consent in contexts unrelated to legitimate construction documentation.
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts, data, or company records.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or any form of unsolicited communication.
Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service without our prior written consent.
Resell, sublicense, or redistribute access to the Service without our authorisation.
Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation or interfere with other users' access.
4. Photo content guidelines
The Service is designed for construction site photography. Photos should be relevant to construction work, site conditions, building progress, or compliance documentation. While we do not actively monitor uploaded content, we reserve the right to review and remove content that violates this policy.
5. QR code access
QR codes generated by the Service are intended for use by trades and subcontractors working on the associated job. You must not share QR codes publicly or with individuals who are not authorised to work on the relevant construction project.
6. Storage and fair use
Your subscription includes photo storage as described in your plan. We expect usage to be consistent with normal construction documentation. Excessively large uploads unrelated to construction work (such as using the Service as general-purpose cloud storage) may be considered a violation of this policy.
7. Consequences of violation
If we determine that you have violated this policy, we may take action including issuing a warning, temporarily suspending your account, permanently terminating your account, or removing offending content. For serious violations, we may terminate your account without prior warning.
8. Reporting violations
If you become aware of any content or behaviour that violates this policy, please contact us at damon@darkstardesign.co.uk.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service.
